Tanker i forhold til nyt kæledyr

For ikke så længe siden døde vores kat. Og den havde vi haft i 12 år. Så det var selvfølgelig et hårdt slag. Men da drengene ikke havde oplevet den fra killing af, var det ikke et lige så hårdt slag for dem, som det var for mig, som nok havde det tætteste forhold til katten i familien.

Men nu da katten er gået bort, så begyndte vi jo at snakke om, at vi gerne ville have et nyt kæledyr. Og vi snakkede om en hund, men blev hurtige enige om (eller det gjorde vi forældre), at det var alt for mange timer for en hund, at skulle være alene, mens vi var i skole og på job.

Så snakkede vi om, at få en kat igen. Og det var vi da også alle opsatte på. Men pludselig siger min mindste dreng på 7 år. At han også rigtig gerne ville have en kanin!

Vi begyndte at lege med tanken og undersøgte, hvor gamle bliver sådanne kaniner. Og hvor meget spiser de, og hvor meget bevægelse og motion skal de have. Og er der nogle kaninracer, der er bedre end andre osv.

Det endte med vi alle 4 satte os foran en computer, og så begyndte vi at søge efter en stor og sød kanin, med smukke lange øre. Og vi fandt https://jha-kaniner.dk/ på Fyn. Og de havde gode info i forhold til, det at skulle købe en kanin, og vi ringede og fik en aftale omkring, at komme ud og hilse på nogle af de søde små kaniner. Da der var kommet unger, og derfor var der mange små kaninunger.

Og så var det bare om, at give kaninen masser af kærlighed. Og det var vigtigt, at bevæge sig stille, og ikke komme med en masse høje lyde. Da de nemt kunne blive skræmte, så derfor skulle der ikke være så meget larm omkring kaninen.

Nu har vi haft kanin i 3 måneder. Og en kanin som kæledyr, når man er en familie, er bare en rigtig god ting. Så det har vi nu ikke fortrudt. Men vi snakker nu alligevel om, også at købe en kat igen. For jeg savner nu katten i hverdagen 🙂
