Sådan sætter du dit kryds det rette sted til folketingsvalget

Hvert fjerde år udskriver den danske statsminister folketingsvalg. Det er muligvis det vigtigste valg i Danmark, og derfor er det også vigtigt, at du som vælger stemmer. Der er folk, der har opgivet deres liv for, at du kunne få lov til at stemme den dag i dag. Og der findes lande, hvor de desværre stadig ikke har retten til at stemme. Eller også er retten blevet taget fra dem.

Men én ting er retten til at stemme. En helt anden ting er at finde ud af, hvordan du skal bruge den ret. Der er nemlig mange folketingskandidater, der kæmper om din stemme. I det følgende kan du derfor læse mere om, hvordan du udvælger én folketingskandidat.

Find dit eget politiske ståsted

Inden du går ned i stemmeboksen, bør du først finde ud af, hvad dit eget politiske ståsted er. Her er det værd at have in mente, at du formentlig ikke finder en folketingskandidat, som du er 100% enig med. Folketingskandidaten har en lang række holdninger, og det er meget sjældent, at de alle passer med dine ståsteder.

Af den grund bør du udvælge de politiske ståsteder, der betyder mest for dig. Det kan måske være klimaområdet, indvandringsområdet, skoleområdet eller noget helt fjerde. Herefter kan du finde en folketingskandidat, der mener det samme som dig om de vigtigste politiske ståsteder.

Undersøg hvordan folketingskandidaten vil realisere sine kernesager

Når du har fundet den rette kandidat, eller måske endda flere, bør du tage næste skridt. Det er at kigge på, hvordan kandidaten vil nå i mål med sine målsætninger.

Det kræver ofte en avanceret plan, og den bør kandidaten offentliggøre. Hvis vedkommende for eksempel vil sænke indkomstskatten, vil der blive færre penge i statskassen. Hvor skal de penge så komme fra? Eller hvilke udgifter skal skæres fra, så statsbudgettet stadig kan holde?

På samme måde bør du stille dig kritisk over for enhver folketingskandidat. Hvis du ikke selv kan finde en udførlig plan for, hvordan vedkommende vil realisere sine målsætninger, kan du sagtens tillade dig at spørge kandidaten. Det behøves du ikke være journalist for at gøre.
