Luft i maven hos babyer: Årsager og symptomer

Luft i maven hos spædbørn er ofte en overset tilstand, som kan være ret ubehagelig for spædbørn. Det opstår, når luft sluges eller kommer ind i barnets fordøjelsessystem gennem brystvorten under amning eller ved madding ved brug af flaske. Dette kan føre til oppustethed, uro og ubehag i maven. Disse ubehagstyper kan desuden have væsentlig betydning for din babys humør, hvilket udgør, at din baby ofte er i dårligt humør. Nedenfor kan du læse mere om hvorfor det forekommer og hvordan man kan forebygge det.

 

Årsager: Der er flere årsager til, at spædbørn slugter luft under madding. Forkert positionering under fodring, en hurtig strømningshastighed fra flasken eller brystet, ikke at blive bøvset ofte nok, at tage store mængder luft med mad/væske under madding og selv gråd kan forårsage, at der kommer luft ind i barnets mave.

 

Symptomer: Almindelige symptomer i forbindelse med luft i maven baby er bl.a. overdreven gassen og oppustethed, langvarig gråd eller irritabilitet og synligt ubehag under madding. Spædbørn kan bøje ryggen, mens de bliver fodret, eller lave høje lyde, mens de sluger maden/væsken. De kan vise tegn på rastløshed, være ude af stand til at indtage fuld føde og have problemer med at fordøje maden.

 

Behandling: Behandling af luft-sygdom hos spædbørn indebærer normalt ændringer i den måde, du giver dit barn mad på, og hvor ofte barnet bøvser. Mindre hyppige amninger med korrekt positionering kan hjælpe med at reducere den mængde luft, der kommer ind i fordøjelsessystemet. Hyppig bøvsning under og efter måltider kan også hjælpe med at lindre gas smerter. Hvis symptomerne fortsætter, skal du tale med din børnelæge, som måske foreslår probiotika eller håndkøbsmedicin som simethicone-dråber.
