Vælg det rette internet til din virksomhed

Det giver næsten sig selv, at få virksomheder i dag kan fungere uden internet. En stabil og hurtig internetforbindelse er kort sagt altafgørende for stort set alle erhvervsdrivende. Alligevel er det ikke sikkert, at valget af løsning giver sig selv. Vi ser nærmere på forskellige typer af internet til erhverv.

Flere veje til nettet

Helt grundlæggende findes der i dag to seriøse muligheder for internet til erhverv: Fiber eller xDSL. Fibernet er det hurtigste, men dels er det ikke tilgængeligt på alle adresser, dels kan xDSL – som er baseret på kobber – stadig levere endog meget store hastigheder. Et tredje alternativ er mobilt bredbånd. Det vil sjældent være den rette permanente løsning på en fast adresse, men det er et påkrævet supplement for de fleste, da der ofte er behov for netadgang, når man er på farten. Samtidig kan der være lokationer i virksomheden, hvor behovet er så lille, at det ikke giver mening at installere en fast internetforbindelse.

Fiber

Fibernet giver det hurtigste internet på markedet. Data overføres lynhurtigt via lyslederkabler. Selvom teknologien er moderne, kræver den ikke nyt udstyr. Forbindelsen til fiber kan løbe gennem jeres nuværende udstyr og stiller ikke særlige krav til hardware.

Fibernet har flere fordele. Dels er det en sikker vej til hurtigt internet, dels giver det en formidabelt høj driftsstabilitet. F.eks. påvirkes hastigheden ikke af, hvor mange der er på nettet samtidig. De fleste udbydere gør det også let at opgradere, hvis man har valgt en pakke på et bestemt niveau og får behov for at øge hastigheden yderligere.

xDSL

Hvis I vælger en xDSL-forbindelse leveres jeres internet gennem jeres eget datastik via kobber. Sådan et findes i langt de fleste ejendomme og vil således være tilgængeligt for stort set alle. Selvom det er en helt klassisk standard, kan hastigheden være meget høj, og samtidig er det let og problemfrit at komme hurtigt i gang, ligesom driften også er ligetil. Heller ikke her vil der være behov for at udskifte udstyr, ligesom det hos de fleste udbydere er nemt og hurtigt at opgradere til større hastighed.

Mobilt bredbånd

Selvom xDSL er vidt udbredt, og fiber er godt på vej, er det ikke tilgængeligt overalt. I så fald kan der være behov for mobilt bredbånd til erhverv. Også her kan I få lynhurtigt internet – enten til brug på en given adresse, hvor der ikke er netadgang, eller hvis I er på farten. I øvrigt er udbredelsen af 5G – dvs. femte generation af mobilt bredbånd – ved at vinde frem, hvilket gør hastigheden på mobilen helt ekstremt hurtig.
