Four of the most courageous, brutal and honest saxophonists from the underground scene in New York appear from the shadows to join forces and fight the evil of this world.

Japanese saxophonist and vocalist Tamio Shiraishi (b. 1949) plays a central part in the history of Japanese art music. He has played with influential noise outfits like Taco and A-Musik. Shiraishi exclusively plays in the highest register in piercing discord.

Apart from Skyggerige, Danish-American saxophonist, vocalist and composer Louise Dam Eckardt Jensen (b. 1980) is part of no-wave improv band Sweet Banditry, post-apocalyptic improv duo The Home of Easy Credit and The Gauntlet Quartet.

American saxophonist, composer and improvisor Chris Pitsiokos (b. 1990) combines intense rock and noise with the progression of jazz and the abstract details from contemporary music’s great composers like Iannis Xenakis and Helmut Lachermann.

American tenor saxophonist Matt Nelson (b. 1985) is known from the sax quartet Battle Trance, Skeletons, Bongo Junction, Timosaurus and tUnE-yArDs.
