Graphic designer Yngve Stensaker will be giving a basic introduction into various drawing software that can be used to make designs that are printable on 3D-printers.
In this workshop participants will be given insight into the functionality of such software and learn about what challenges different file formats, export options and geometrics pose. There will also be given brief info about the creation of printer-friendly meshes.
The relevant software includes AutoCad (native), 3ds Max (native), Google Sketchup (plugin necessary). We encourage that participants bring their laptop (and install Google Sketchup, which is open source software - and therefore free to download).
This workshop is a part of the PRINT YOUR LIFE: 3D-PRINTING FOR EVERYONE festival that runs from November 7-28 in Platform4.
To participate in this workshop you must register by sending your name and phone number to info@platform4.dk.
