If you have ever thought about why one or another thing is design in this or other why, if you have had a thought that the chair your sitting on or a cup your drinking coffee from could be made differently to suit your needs better, then the user-centered design workshop is just for you.
Saturday afternoon will start with a presentation called "Why users studies can make better products?". This information will let you understand what is user-centered design and how things are design in different ways according to who will use it. Afterwards it will be followed by a workshop and work in groups where development of an object will happen.

Example of a project and the design process
Work in groups - 4 people per group
Each group will have one object on the table and will need to improve it for a specific target group (blind, handicap of the lower libs, elderly..). Afterwards groups will make presentations about the improved object.

It was Elodie Lepaludier - but unfortunately the event has been cancelled. A new date might be found in 2013, stay tuned.
