Tekknosumpen: A rave goodbye to the old Platform4 warehouse

Tekknosumpen is a rave-series that's been running in Aalborg for more than 15 years featuring local talent and guest-dj appearances celebrating Detroit and hard minimal tekkno. The noisy dj-ensemble will occupy the old Platform4 warehouse for a big, final rave (and film screening) on the last weekend of September 2012 to give it one last salute before Platform4 hands over the key to the developer - and moves on.

In 2012 Platform4 has been moving to its new location in Karolinelund, slowly leaving behind the old warehouse that has been the nexus of the art meets technology experiment for the last 4 years. On October 1, 2012, the key is handed over to the owner of the warehouse, who will refurbish it and rent it out for gazzillions of dollars.

That is why the Tekknosumpen crew, a long-running collective of dj's and show-offs dedicated to making very noisey tekkno raves, has decided to occupy the building in it's last weekend as cultural venue to throw a hard tekkno rave, old-school style. The confirmed dj-lineup includes long-time tekkno-faves Bo V, Deadbone, Curse, Periskop, Jens M, Nate Dawg, MOTORSAW and Vilde V, who will congregate from all over the country with their sonic missile armory to drop bombs and create mayhem.

Additionally, the event program will also feature an early-evening screening of the movie classic Metropolis in a very special version; it's original soundtrack and score has been replaced by a new, custom-made version made by Nathan Curry, cut and edited entirely from the album-release by the same name by Detroit tekkno-wizard Jeff Mills. We'll be serving up the movie with beers and, of course, a PA-system for maximum tekknocinematic impact.

The first 30 ravers to show up for the event (music) will be given a special and classic hard-to-get Danish mixtape (cd) from the early nineties. Treat!
