Platformers is the Platform4 word for volunteers. Platformers are the very fabric of Platform4 and this group is the communication platform between all volunteers (that means: every user) in Platform4.
Platform4 UnContained is a large-scale project to produce a fully mobile, modular version of creative hub Platform4 in Aalborg, Denmark. The idea is to build a unit-based container city in a selfsustainable and moduler fashion, so that it can be moved with relative ease from one location to another – or simply split up into smaller encampments in different locations. The idea is that each container will have its own purpose and thereby be able to function seperately. Like a little city with shops, only here it will toolshops, café, workspaces, lounges, offices and terrazzas. They will be able to connect through simple click-mechanisms that connect power and other technologies, so that they're easy to assemble on top of and next to each
other.
PlayForm Mobile Exhibit project is a mobile art and technology exhibition showcasing creativity from Platform4 in a tour across northern Denmark during the summer of 2012. First the exhibit will be featured in Platform4 before moving on to 4 cities across province. The projects were found through an open call, where 7 enthusiastic project makers were selected and whose idea was funded to be part of the exhibition.
Platform4 Inside Peaks is where we portray some of the people in and around Platform4 who work with art & technology. By putting the limelight on these people we want to showcase their talent and hope to inspire others towards playing with technology and exploring their inner creativity.
KinoPlatform is Platform4 movie community, which hosts cozy movie evenings - and is initiated by a group of Platformers (volunteers) who love the big screen.
